چکیده

The integrated density of states (IDS) N(E) is the distribution function of a nonnegative measure ν, the density of states measure (DOS). This measure usually obtained as the weak infinite-volume limit of the local eigenvalue counting function for the system restricted to a finite-volume region. For Schrödinger operators with random potentials, the eigenvalue counting function for the finite-volume system satisfies an estimate called a Wegner estimate. We present new local and global-in-energy Wegner estimates for random Schrödinger operators with Anderson-type random potentials. These estimates are strong enough to imply that the DOS measure is absolutely continuous with a density in L loc (R), for any 1 ≤ q < ∞. The IDS is also proved to be locally or globally Hölder continuous with Hölder exponent 1/q, for any q > 1.

Legibility of the cities and the factors having impacts on it

How to design a city more legible is one of the main problems in urban design. To define the parameters that are crucial in designing legible cities is the main debate of this article. The research methodology was studying mental maps of the city dwellers and comparing the group image of the city with the pattern of continuity of salient elements and integration of the urban axes using Space Sy...

First principles studies on band structures and density of states of graphite surface oxides

Graphite oxide constitutes carbon network with oxygen atoms both on hexagonal arrangement and the edge sites. Structural and electronic properties for graphite-oxygen complexes have been explored using first-principles total-energy calculations within the local density approximation (LDA). Band structures and density of states for the propose carbon 3D models are reported. A finite energy gap and...

American Policy in Persian Gulf Region: Continuity or Change at the Trump Era

United States power in Persian Gulf has risen since the end of Second World War. Dividing U.S. presence in the Region into the Cold war and post-Cold war era, the principle policy in first period was narrowing the impact of Soviet Union in the Region and in latter, Access to Persian Gulf region’s oil and controlling the major threats which can disrupt the flow of oil to global energy market. First-principles study on the electronic structure of Thiophenbithiol (TBT) on Au(100) surface

First principle calculations were performed using Density functional theory within the local spin density approximation (LSDA) to understand the electronic properties of Au(100)+TBT system and compare the results with Au(100) and bulk Au properties. Band structure, the total DOS and charge density for these materials are calculated. We found that the HOMO for Au(100)+TBT becomes broader than Au...
